The best tea ceremony in Nara, Japan – unforgettable experience

Tea Lounge Navi Cafe – what a hidden gem in Nara, Japan. This tea ceremony was exceptional and we learned so much for Japanese tea and matcha.

The owner Mike is really fun to talk with and very knowledgeable about things to do and eat in Nara and Kyoto.

He explained a lot to us about tea and the culture of tea drinking in Japan.

We highly recommend you go and give it a try. The experience is unique and one of the most memorable things to do in Nara.

Tea Lounge Navi Cafe is private in a small house close to the train station, lovely decorated and gave us a very home feeling.

We tried different Japanese tea, matcha and sweets. We can highly recommend his place for a traditional tea ceremony!

Definitely we would love to come back someday and have the matcha ceremony and tea tasting again.

+ Unique place where you can taste a real teas and premium Matcha.
+ The owner Mike is a good storyteller. The place have a japanese atmosphere and it was relaxing and fun.
+ For a relatively small amount you get an experience that you will remember for a long time.

– The location is not very easy to find, but you can use Google maps.
– You can book in advance to avoid waiting.
– If you are a professional photographer, you should know that the light is little for really good photos.
